Study of SRCs in neutron-rich nuclei with inverse kinematics measurements

چکیده

Abstract Experiments in inverse kinematics are a novel approach to study short-range correlations atomic nuclei. Such fully exclusive experiments offer unique advantages over normal as they allow the structure of short-lived radioactive-nuclei using quasi-free scattering reactions and measure complete final state directly. In pilot at JINR $$^{12}$$ 12 C beam 4 GeV/c/nucleon on proton target, we show that challenges posed by final-state interactions can be overcome taking advantage post-selection. This opens new research path dynamics high-momentum nucleons extremely asymmetric

Study of light proton-rich nuclei by complete kinematics measurements

Light proton-rich bound and unbound nuclei were produced by means of stripping reactions of secondary beams of Mg and Ne. The decays of the unbound nuclei Na have been measured by detecting their decay products Ne and one proton and by performing an invariant-mass reconstruction. For Na, the present work is the first measurement of its decay. As the decay scheme of this nucleus could not be det...

Lifetime measurements for neutron-rich nuclei around

Nowadays it has became clear that the magic numbers are not immutable and they can change as a function of the isospin, due to the influence of the residual interaction between valence orbitals [1]. Such a structural change in neutron-rich nuclei is verified in the appearance of the N = 32 subshell closure in nuclei located just above the doublymagic Ca and this can be inferred by different exp...

Study of Giant Pairing Vibrations with neutron-rich nuclei

We investigate the possible signature of the presence of giant pairing states at excitation energy of about 10 MeV via two-particle transfer reactions induced by neutron-rich weakly-bound projectiles. Performing particle-particle RPA calculations on Pb and BCS+RPA calculations on Sn, we obtain the pairing strength distribution for two particles addition and removal modes. Estimates of two-parti...

Modes of decay in neutron-rich nuclei

We calculate the ground, first intrinsic excited states and density distribution for neutron-rich thorium and uranium isotopes, within the framework of relativistic mean field(RMF) approach using axially deformed basis. The total nucleon densities are calculated, from which the cluster-structures inside the parent nuclei are determined. The possible modes of decay, like α-decay and β -decay are...

SHELL MODEL STUDY OF EVEN-EVEN Te NEUTRON-RICH NUCLEI

Large-scale shell model calculations were performed for neutron-rich even-even Te using a realistic effective interaction derived from CDBonn nucleon-nucleon potential for the positive and negative parity states. The calculated results are compared with the recently available experimental data. The transition rates B(E2; 0 →2) are also calculated by taking into consideration core polarization e...
